The PJ (Party of the People's Party) opposed the ruling on YPF: "The colonial order is unenforceable, unacceptable, and illegal."

The Justicialist Party ( PJ ) issued a harsh statement against Judge Loretta Preska's ruling in the YPF case following its expropriation by then-Economy Minister Axel Kicillof . In this context, and following the government 's reactions, the Peronist party opposed the country handing over 51% of the state oil company's shares .

"Once again, Senior United District Judge Loretta A. Preska, who, by applying Argentine law to her ruling in the YPF case , violated the most basic norms of public and private law in our country, demonstrates her contempt for the sovereign immunity that all countries enjoy, issuing a colonial order that is unenforceable, inadmissible, and illegal," began the space led by Cristina Kirchner.

In this regard, they denounced that "it intends, violating all norms of International Law, to have the Argentine National Congress authorize the transfer of YPF shares, property of the National State and the Provinces, to none other than a vulture fund in New York, for the payment of a debt whose existence has been denied and appealed by the Argentine State ."

Following this, the PJ called on "the Justicialist legislators of both chambers in the Honorable Congress of the Nation and all those who wish to defend the COUNTRY" to "oppose this order with all vigor and courage in defense of NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY, asserting the independent powers and rights of any foreign power, which our Congress must safeguard."

"From our Party, we call for the formation of a broad, multi-party social front to guarantee the defense of national interests, and we demand that the Government take the necessary measures to defend those interests," the Justicialist Party concluded.

Judge Preska ordered Argentina to transfer its 51% stake in YPF to Buford and Eton Capital as part of the settlement ordering the country to pay US$16.1 billion. The ruling responds to a lawsuit filed by the plaintiffs seeking to collect the outstanding amount established in the judgment, granting them two weeks to comply with the transfer of YPF shares.

In this way, Preska ordered that "Argentina is ordered to transfer its Class D YPF shares to a global custodial account at BNYM in New York within 14 days of the date of the order ." She also determined "to instruct BNYM to initiate a transfer of Argentina's ownership interest in its Class D YPF shares to the plaintiffs or their designees within one business day of the date the shares are deposited into the account."
